Join our fast-paced distribution center in Columbus, Ohio, as a Material Handler. We're looking for dedicated individuals to support our warehouse operations by moving, organizing, and preparing materials. This role is essential to our logistics efficiency, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and shipments are processed smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Sort, stack, and store inventory in designated locations.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
- Receive and inspect incoming goods, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free of hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Must be able to handle lifting of items up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory principles.
- Strong emphasis on safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
