This role is fundamental to our logistics chain, involving the movement, organization, and preparation of goods for shipment and receipt. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials around the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and stack materials in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy.
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and record quantities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, following all company procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of materials up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
