We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics operations in Madison, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will ensure the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to shipping. As a Forklift Operator, you will be trained on our specific equipment and procedures. Your daily tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and you will be required to adhere to all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE and forklift operating procedures. The ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds is also part of the role when not operating machinery. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
