Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa! This role is critical to the success of our logistics and supply chain management, focusing on maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular audits, and implementing efficient inventory control strategies. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure stock accuracy and minimize discrepancies, directly impacting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain and update inventory data within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory levels and trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop, implement, and refine inventory control procedures.
  • Work with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
  • Monitor stock movements and provide regular inventory status reports.
  • Uphold strict adherence to all safety standards and mandatory PPE usage.
  • Tasks may involve occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Ensure accurate data to support efficient logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a valued team member.
