We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our San Jose, California location. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce losses. This position is fundamental to our logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. You will work closely with warehouse staff, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure overall inventory integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and report on stock status.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Tasks may involve some lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Support efficient logistics flow by ensuring accurate stock data.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting is a plus.
