Our growing logistics company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk. This role is essential for managing the inflow of goods into our warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment shipments arrive. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming materials, playing a key part in maintaining our inventory integrity and supporting our overall supply chain operations. A strong focus on Safety and meticulous attention to detail are critical for success.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and process all incoming freight, verifying quantities and product details against documentation.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately enter received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stage products for movement to their designated warehouse locations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other necessary equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing all required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams regarding delivery status.
- Assist with inventory control tasks and other logistics support duties as needed.
- Occasional moderate Lifting of boxes up to 40 lbs may be required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand shipping manifests, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Physical capability for standing, walking, and performing tasks involving light to moderate Lifting.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and following all established protocols.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
