Join our expanding logistics network as a Material Handler in San Antonio, Texas! We are seeking reliable and physically capable individuals to manage the flow of goods within our busy warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our distribution center and requires a strong work ethic and a dedication to Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Unload trucks and move materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting.
- A strong focus on workplace Safety and adherence to all procedures.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
