Our growing logistics company in Des Moines, Iowa is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our dedicated warehouse staff. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times. This role is essential to maintaining the flow of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of goods.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Occasional Lifting of items up to 30 lbs may be required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Physical ability to perform the job duties, including occasional Lifting and prolonged standing.
- Strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
