We are hiring a reliable and organized Shipping Clerk for our Boise, Idaho location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This includes preparing orders for shipment, verifying contents, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. You will play a vital part in our logistics network, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, ensuring all orders are fulfilled correctly.
- Verify the contents of shipments against packing lists and customer orders.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels and track shipments.
- Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage logistics.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Organize and maintain the shipping area to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and external partners.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
