We have an immediate opening for a Receiving Clerk in our Dallas, Texas distribution center. This role is critical for ensuring that all incoming goods are processed accurately and efficiently, forming the first step in our supply chain logistics. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming inventory, verifying contents against purchase orders, and identifying any discrepancies or damages. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for any damages or defects and report issues immediately.
- Accurately enter received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage received materials for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and logistics.
- Properly utilize lifting equipment and follow safe lifting techniques.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including WMS software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
