Seeking a motivated and experienced Material Handler to join our bustling San Francisco, California warehouse! As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the movement and organization of materials throughout our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods. This position requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy in all logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control and stock placement.
- Follow all procedures for proper lifting and material handling to prevent injuries.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required by company policy and safety guidelines.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain efficiency through timely material movement.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler or similar role.
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Excellent physical condition and stamina for manual labor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
