We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Durham, North Carolina facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, ensuring optimal stock levels, and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting audits, and resolving stock issues. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
- Monitor inventory levels and provide reports on stock status, obsolescence, and turnover.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate stock placement.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure all inventory handling procedures comply with Safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and support logistics goals.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory-related transactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects.
