Are you a motivated individual with experience in material handling? We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched correctly. You will operate various types of equipment and work closely with our logistics team to maintain optimal inventory flow and operational efficiency. This position demands physical stamina, precision, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Your role is integral to our supply chain's success, guaranteeing that materials are handled with care and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Load outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper securing of goods.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE .
- Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment.
- Support the Logistics team with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Perform other material handling tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification for operating forklifts or other relevant machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory management systems.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and awareness of potential hazards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Possess a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.
