We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse facility in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials within the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. You will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics processes. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A valid forklift certification is required. This role involves significant physical activity and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Safety is our absolute top priority, and all operators must strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Experience with various types of forklifts and warehouse management systems is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and transport materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
