We are looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction. You will utilize scanning equipment and follow specific picking lists to gather products. This position is integral to our logistics chain, ensuring that orders are processed correctly and shipped out promptly. A commitment to safety and efficient workflow is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners or other devices to track picked items and update inventory.
- Verify product identification and quantity to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items carefully and safely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and fulfillment process.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or order accuracy immediately.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or related role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product labels.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift repeatedly.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
