Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a stable and rewarding opportunity in Houston, Texas? We are hiring skilled individuals to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and retrieved accurately and without damage. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory within the warehouse, and assisting with order picking and staging. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation and warehouse safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all directives for handling materials and ensure proper Lifting techniques are used.
- Ensure all necessary PPE is worn at all times.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring materials are ready for shipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices for forklift operation.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including Lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
