Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is looking for skilled Material Handlers to join our logistics team. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods within our warehouse, from receiving and stocking to order fulfillment and shipping preparation. This position demands efficiency, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment and ensuring that inventory is stored and moved correctly. A strict adherence to all safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential for this role. The job requires considerable physical effort, including frequent Lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of materials. If you are an experienced individual with a solid background in warehouse operations and a focus on safety, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials safely.
- Store and organize inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for outbound shipments.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Uphold all company safety standards and the correct usage of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
- Ability to perform frequent and heavy Lifting (up to 75 pounds).
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to a safe and efficient logistics environment.
