Our Indianapolis, Indiana facility is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials. Your contribution is crucial to the seamless functioning of our logistics processes, ensuring timely and accurate inventory management and order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport inventory, raw materials, and finished goods within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts, reporting any maintenance or Safety concerns.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate placement and securement of cargo.
- Put away received goods into appropriate storage locations.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE .
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and prevent hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Must be capable of performing manual Lifting up to 50 lbs when required for product handling.
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with demonstrated experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts is a plus.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Excellent awareness of Safety procedures and a commitment to safe operation.
- Must consistently wear and utilize required PPE (e.g., safety vest, steel-toe boots).
- Physical ability to operate machinery, stand, walk, and perform occasional Lifting .
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a responsible attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
