We're looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is integral to our ability to deliver products to customers efficiently and accurately. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy in product and quantity.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and workstations are free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of required PPE .
- Operate pallet jacks or hand trucks for moving inventory as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Must be able to perform manual Lifting of up to 40 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding and adherence to all Safety protocols and the proper use of PPE .
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform frequent Lifting .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
