*Job Overview*
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physician Assistant - Certified to join our dynamic healthcare team. *Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to inform diagnosis and treatment plans
* Administer injections, perform suturing, and manage airway procedures with precision and aseptic technique
* Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records
* Manage acute pain cases and coordinate ventilator management for ICU or neonatal ventilator patients
* Assist in diagnostic evaluations including radiology interpretation, laboratory data collection, and procedural interventions such as catheterization or spinal tap
* Provide triage services in emergency room or urgent care settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently
* Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data, managing research protocols, and participating in clinical trials related to infectious disease care or other specialties
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information and medical coding using ICD-10/ICD-9 codes for billing purposes
* Participate in discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and hospice & palliative medicine to promote seamless patient transitions
*Experience*
* Proven hospital experience in emergency medicine, ICU, or Level I/II trauma centers with exposure to critical care environments
* Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner; telehealth experience is a plus
* Hands-on experience administering injections, suturing, phlebotomy, and performing physical examinations across diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal units, and family practice
* Background in clinical research or public health initiatives related to infectious disease care or medical imaging is desirable
* Experience managing complex cases involving ventilator support, cardiac catheterization procedures, or dialysis treatments is advantageous
* Prior work in outpatient clinics or hospital medicine settings with familiarity in CPT coding and ICD coding standards for accurate documentation and billing
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology principles related to acute pain management and medication administration
* Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care centers while maintaining excellent patient care standards

Pay: $48,079.56 - $57,902.27 per year
