An exciting opportunity for a Band 8a has arisen within our friendly and progressive Pharmacy Team at GOSH. We are looking for a candidate who has previous experience of working in a GMP and/or QA related environment to join our department. In this role you will gain experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems, GMP and unlicensed medicines.
Main duties of the job To participate in the day-to-day delivery of the QA Service in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice and nationally agreed standards.

Demonstrable contribution to advancing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace
Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
Specialist Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in Technical Services (e.g., Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance)
Technical Modules or equivalent experience: Aseptic dispensing, Parenteral therapy, Risk Management, Clinical trials, Formulation and Stability.
Experience/Knowledge
A minimum of 2 years' experience of working in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance OR a GMP manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated practical knowledge of QA, GMP, GCP and all current relevant regulations.
Demonstrated practical knowledge of QA, GMP, GCP and all current relevant regulations.
Demonstrated knowledge of the validation requirements for pharmaceutical facilities, equipment and products.
Proven experience of delivering training
Proven experience of carrying out internal and/or external audits/inspections including providing recommendations.
Proven project development and implementation experience.
Previous NHS manufacturing experience.
Skills/Abilities
Excellent written English with good spelling and grammar.
Computer literate, with experience of using a wide range of computer programs. Essential: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
Able to complete documentation accurately with attention to detail.
Able to accurately follow written procedures under pressure.
Demonstrates ability to monitor and take action on deviations within the context of Quality System.
Demonstrates ability to perform accurate complex calculations and numeracy skills.
Demonstrates ability to identify, analyse root cause and develop options for complex problems.
Demonstrates ability to assess risk and propose change.
Demonstrates ability to critically appraise written documentation in context of compliance to current regulations.
Good time management - with ability to identify priorities and proactively organise workload for self and the team in order to meet specified timeframes.
