Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:

• Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and Registered Nurse. 
• Prepare the operating room with appropriate instrumentation, equipment and supplies. 
• Assures sterility and working order of equipment and instruments prior to the case. 
• Perform as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization, reporting any mechanical difficulties as needed. 
• Demonstrates knowledge of decontamination, washing, assembling, wrapping and sterilizing instruments according to guidelines. 
• Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
• Requires call with a 20-minute response time.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program. 

• BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or
