This position is accountable for cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, and/or medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. May assume lead role.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum two (2) years sterile processing experience preferred
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of instrumentation and medical devices
• Must also demonstrate proficiency in computer skills
• Prefer working knowledge of hospital equipment and computers

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
• (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician or a (CBSPDT) Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician is required or a CSPDT–CBSPD – Certified Sterile Processing Technician and CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician – required within 12 months of hire or
