Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and be adept at applying their knowledge to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively on projects while utilizing advanced engineering tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
  • Implement mechanical design principles in accordance with GD&T standards.
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
  • Create and interpret schematics, ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system automation and control.
  • Engage in project scheduling to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs under various conditions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production processes.

  • Utilize MATLAB and Simulink for modeling, simulation, and analysis of mechanical systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-7 years experience required
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) and familiarity with drafting techniques.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, and CNC operations is highly desirable.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles and ASME codes & standards is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
