Hotel Housekeeping supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations within our hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. The supervisor will coordinate cleaning staff, manage schedules, and uphold safety and quality standards across all housekeeping functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Train new housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Develop and manage staff schedules to meet occupancy demands while optimizing labor costs.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies, equipment, and floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing.
• Address guest requests or complaints promptly to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens; place orders as needed.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate maintenance, repairs, and special projects related to housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with a strong background in hospitality management preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial practices.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a hospitality or janitorial setting is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for training staff and interacting with guests and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with hotel industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance processes.
