We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Data Scientist IV to join our team, specializing in the organization planning tool area. In this pivotal role, you will lead discovery and analysis efforts to identify strategic opportunities, deliver actionable insights to engineering, and support the product team in driving impactful results. Your expertise will help optimize metrics definition, product and feature release reporting, and ad hoc data analysis, ultimately enhancing our ability to move the needle on key topline metrics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement.
  • Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.
  • Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments.
  • Collaborate with product engineers to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features, and provide guidelines for their large-scale implementation.
  • Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, which includes, but is not limited to, assistance with online customer service dashboards and other ad-hoc requests that require data analysis and visual support.

Skills

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, statistics, analytics, and reporting
  • Experienced in either programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R, big data tools such as Hadoop, or data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics.
  • Experience working with large datasets.

Education/Experience

  • Master of Science degree in statistics, mathematics or in a relevant field.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
