Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the Operating Room team for a 13-week contract in a reputable Level III Trauma Center. The ideal candidate has at least one year of recent operating room experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure a safe surgical environment
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
• Handle instruments, specimens, and equipment according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff to ensure smooth operations
• Document and maintain accurate surgical records

Requirements:

• Active Washington CST license
• Minimum 1 year of recent surgical tech experience
• BLS certification
• Ability to work a block schedule
• Must meet all compliance and health requirements prior to start

Scheduling & Unit Details:

• Floating: No
• On-Call: Required (6–8 weeknights per 6-week schedule)
• Weekends: Required (1 weekend every 6 weeks)
• Block Scheduling: Required
• Expected Ratios: 1:1
• 48 hours/week approval: Not approved
