Material Handler

Description:

Malloy is seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler & Delivery Driver to join our team. This role ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory and delivering production materials and supplies where needed. Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and materials in the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. Keeps inventory and loading areas clean.
• Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Locates and packs materials for shipping.
• Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain the necessary paperwork.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
• Perform other functions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Class A CDL required. Medical card preferred or willing to obtain.
• Experience with driving a pickup truck and trailer is preferred.
• Previous delivery, shipping, and/or receiving experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
