CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary
ALC Enterprises LLC a contractor with FedEx Custom Critical is seeking new or established dedicated Class A Team Drivers to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will be responsible for transporting freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role requires a commitment to timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units with a focus on safety and compliance with all traffic laws.
• Manage the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Navigate routes effectively, utilizing GPS and maps to optimize delivery times.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
• Perform daily routine inspections of the combination vehicle to ensure it is in safe and functional working condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transit.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations, particularly during expedited freight situations.

Skills

• Proficient in driving manual or automatic transmission vehicles.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers, dry vans and various types of freight transport.
• Strong background in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license.
• Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities and route driving techniques.
• Ability to operate hand jack and other loading/unloading equipment as needed.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customer.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years CDL A experience, OTR is a plus
• Must have or able to acquire tanker and hazmat endorsements within the first 60 days of employment
• Clean MVR
• 14 days out 2 days home OR 21 days out 3 days home

Requirements for Drivers Needing Approval:

• A minimum of two years verifiable OTR driving experience within the last three years.
• Clean MVR
• Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
• Must hold a valid medical card
• No felonies or drug related misdemeanors
• No more than one preventable accident in the last three years
• No excessive speeding over 15 miles an hour of posted speed limit

Weekly Pay: Ranges between $1,700 and $2,000 per driver depending on the route

• Detention pay
• $100 Monthly Safety and Performance bonus
• $1,000 Annual Safety bonus paid the first week after 12 full months of employment
