Role Description
The
Supply Chain Manager
will oversee the end-to-end supply chain: from purchasing and inbound freight to warehouse operations, forecasting, and outbound delivery. This is a
hands-on leadership role
that blends operational execution with process improvement, requiring both strategic insight and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
You will lead initiatives to improve forecasting, freight management, and warehouse processes, while developing stronger ERP/WMS (NetSuite) capabilities. This role currently has one direct report managing day-to-day warehouse operations and will expand as Total RESA continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Leadership & Execution
- Manage the full supply chain process from vendor purchase order through customer delivery.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align sales forecasts, purchasing, and logistics capacity.
- Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Finance to balance inventory, working capital, and service levels.
- Oversee purchasing, inbound and outbound freight, warehouse operations, forecasting, and inventory management.
Warehouse & Distribution Operations
- Support day-to-day warehouse needs, including physical work such as moving pallets, assisting with loading/unloading trucks, and participating in cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all shipping, receiving, and stocking activities.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance within the warehouse.
ERP / WMS & Process Improvement
- Partner with leadership to enhance the sophistication of our
NetSuite Warehouse Management System (WMS)
.
- Develop process documentation and implement best practices to increase data accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
- Identify and implement improvements in freight routing, warehouse layout, and inventory control.
Vendor & Freight Management
- Build and manage relationships with vendors, carriers, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and consistent performance.
- Stand up new freight programs to improve inbound and outbound logistics efficiency and cost control.
- Negotiate shipping contracts and manage freight spend performance metrics.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Collaborate with Sales to build accurate demand forecasts (target 90–95% accuracy).
- Translate demand plans into purchasing, stocking, and freight strategies to support customer fulfillment.
- Use data analysis to continuously refine inventory targets and improve turns.
Team Leadership & Growth
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics staff.
- Foster a culture of dependability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a reliable, motivated, and disciplined leader who drives accountability and results.
Key Metrics (KPIs)
- Forecast accuracy
- Inventory: turns, GMROI, and accuracy
- Scheduling: Adherence to planned timelines, job readiness
- Freight cost per order
- On-time delivery and fill rate
- Working capital utilization
- Process improvement milestones
- Discipline: measure of achievement of agreed upon goals compared to plan
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience, 5+ preferred, in
distribution, logistics, or supply chain management
(restaurant equipment or related industries preferred)
- Hands-on experience in
warehouse operations
preferred, including physical labor, loading/unloading, and inventory control
- Strong knowledge of
purchasing, freight, and vendor management
, S&OP process experience preferred
- ERP or WMS experience required;
NetSuite
experience preferred
- Proven ability to learn and improve digital systems and data processes
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision-making mindset
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in
Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business
(preferred) or equivalent experience
- CSCP or CPIM certification
