Lorica Ministries –

Founded in July of 2022 by Dr. Douglas Rumford. Lorica Ministries equips individuals, leaders, and congregations to experience spiritual vitality and intentional living through practical resources and dynamic support in curriculum, coaching, consulting, cohorts, and certification in spiritual coaching and direction.

About the Role

This will be the founding member of the business development/marketing team and the CEO's right-hand person. While this is an individual contributor role, it could quickly morph into taking on more leadership responsibilities. This person will own the go-to-market function. This is an excellent fit for someone who thrives at the intersection of creative storytelling, data-driven growth, and strategic business development. You'll own our social media presence across platforms while proactively identifying, nurturing, and closing partnerships that drive revenue and brand expansion.

This is not a traditional social media role. You'll wear two hats:

  1. Performance Marketer – Build and scale high-engagement, conversion-focused social campaigns.

  2. Business Developer – Turn audience insights into partnership opportunities, research new partnership opportunities and engage with prospects to introduce Lorica Ministries.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand voice( Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Create, curate, and schedule content – including short-form video, stories, and live sessions.
  • Analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions).
  • Grow and engage communities; respond to comments with brand authenticity and speed.
  • Collaborate with Doug on design and content to maintain visual/messaging consistency.

Business Development

  • Identify partnership opportunities from social interactions from various platforms.
  • Reach out directly through email, inmail, phone to potential partners to introduce Lorica Ministries
  • Qualify potential opportunities and hand off to the CEO
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of warm leads from social DMs, comments, and community engagement.
  • Develop pitch decks, case studies, and ROI projections for potential partners.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing with proven results in audience growth and conversions.
  • 2+ years in business development, sales, or partnerships
  • Ideally, someone who resonates with the Christian faith and mission
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to create, adapt, and collaborate with like-minded people
