Robotics Deployment Engineer (US)
As a Robotics Deployment Engineer, you will be at the intersection of robotics, AI, and real-world impact. This role requires strong technical capability, hands-on integration experience, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will lead on-site deployments for customers, ensuring smooth integration of mobile manipulators for bin-picking and item-handling operations. By working closely with clients and internal teams, you will help ensure that our robotic solutions consistently achieve outstanding performance in practical, real-world conditions.
Your Responsibilities:
- Install and configure robotic systems, both hardware and software at client sites.
- Adapt and fine-rune robotics algorithms to meet site-specific needs.
- Integrate robotic arms, grippers, and sensors seamlessly into the client's operational workflow.
- Perform comprehensive on-site testing to confirm system performance and reliability.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, applying enhancements where necessary.
- Improve system performance to maximize efficiency, speed, and accuracy in real-world conditions.
- Deliver technical support and training to clients and end users.
- Work closely with development teams to provide feedback and strengthen overall system robustness.
- Document deployment activities and assist in creating operational and user guides.
- Support additional sites across Europe when not assigned to on-site deployments in the USA.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience deploying and integrating robotic systems in industrial or commercial settings.
- Hands-on experience with robotic manipulators, perception systems, motion control, and familiarity with 6-axis, AMR, and/or other robotic systems.
- Strong knowledge of ROS 2, robotic system architecture, and middleware.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker for system setup and deployment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills across complex electromechanical systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly adaptive and resilient in dynamic settings.
- Authorization to work in the US.
Travel & Location Note
- Heavy Travel Required: Willingness to travel is required, approximately 75%.
- Initial Training: The first 3 months require a full-time stay in Germany and Europe for initial training and first deployments.
