Line Cook

The Grain House Restaurant is immediately hiring experienced Line Cooks to join our award-winning, high-volume restaurant. The ideal candidate must be able to deliver exceptional customer service by preparing food items consistently and adhering to all recipe standards. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Sauté and grill for an ala carte menu.
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, deserts, appetizers and snacks
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef's guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shift.
• Maintain a safe working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with timing of service to customers a priority while maintaining composure.
• Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Work on your feet for most of the day.

Education and Experience:

• 1 plus years of demonstrated experience
• Culinary school is preferred
• Spanish speaking is a plus
