Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing systems like OpenTable when applicable.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems; process payments efficiently while maintaining excellent guest relations.
• Clear tables by bussing and resetting for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout service.
• Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, following proper food handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with sanitation regulations.
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours, including nights and weekends.
• Manage time effectively to balance multiple responsibilities while providing attentive service in fast-paced settings such as fine dining or nightlife venues.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; experience in fine dining or upscale establishments is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms enhances efficiency in order processing and cash handling.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques is essential.
• Experience working in nightlife venues such as nightclubs or bars can be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining quality service.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy are required.
• Prior host/host experience or food industry background helps facilitate smooth operations from seating to serving.
