We are currently looking to fill a Data Analyst role at our HQ.
SALARY:
- The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $45,000 and $55,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Data Collection: Lead the use of the primary REDCap servers utilized by the department, ensure builds are aligned internally and with agency standards, and serve as the expert for the team.
- External Datasets: Gather, understand, and combine data from external databases utilized by MFS programs to support monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
- Data Cleaning: Conduct complex data cleaning and preparation using advanced software like R, SQL, Tableau Prep, and Python. Support evaluation managers in learning how to prepare their datasets.
- Data Storage: Create and maintain processes for regular use of the data warehouse and data marts. Support other evaluation staff in successfully connecting to the warehouse for their program areas.
- Monitoring: Create complex dashboards in Tableau to view and monitor critical data for program evaluation. This includes gathering user requirements from staff, either independently or in collaboration with other evaluation staff.
- Reporting: Create systems for responding to data inquiries from diverse stakeholders that provide accurate, reliable, and internally consistent data.
- Advise and Consult: Guide team members in best practices for data capture in REDCap and visualization in Tableau.
- Engages in continuous learning and knowledge-building through conferences, meetings, training, and other opportunities to enhance essential functions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in economics, psychology, sociology, political science, statistics, public policy, social work, or other relevant social/mathematical science field data science, data engineering, computer science, public policy, social service field, or applicable quantitative discipline required
- Four years' data management, entry, and analysis experience
- Expert in REDCap
- Highly proficient in Tableau
- Proficient in SQL
- Certified Tableau Data Analyst preferred
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks.
TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Driving not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
