Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service to enhance their café experience
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
• Manage food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling snacks or light meals as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas and bathrooms.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Support sales efforts by upselling menu items and promoting daily specials to maximize revenue
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
• Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transactions
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks seamlessly during peak hours
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, beverage customization, and food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food preparation practices
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
