Key Responsibilities & Performance Expectations

• Serve customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring orders are complete and delivered within established service time goals, in accordance with Little Caesars–Rasik Pizza LLC Customer Service Standards.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of consistent, high-quality products, following all guidelines outlined in the Little Caesars–Rasik Pizza LLC Handbook.
• Maintain a professional image and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct as specified in the Little Caesars–Rasik Pizza LLC Handbook.
• Clean and organize workstations, ensuring all areas meet company standards and local health department requirements.
• Perform cash handling responsibilities and ensure that colleagues comply with all safety and security procedures, both company-mandated and legally required.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to ensure that job duties are performed correctly and that all company standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Assist in managing food, paper, labor, and utility costs during shifts, and monitor activities to ensure compliance with cost-control measures.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures, handle unexpected situations appropriately, and notify management or other relevant parties as required.
• Complete assignments as directed by the General Manager, including daily, weekly, and period-end reporting, team recruitment and training, marketing initiatives, and maintaining restaurant image and cleanliness.

Position Overview

• The Shift lead is responsible for supporting the General Manager in ensuring efficient restaurant operations, high-quality service, and customer satisfaction while complying with all applicable laws and company policies. This includes adherence to state and federal labor laws, OSHA regulations, EEOC requirements, and all Little Caesars–Rasik Pizza LLC policies and procedures.
• The Shift lead receives guidance and training from the General Manager and other official Little Caesars–Rasik Pizza LLC training materials. During each shift, the Shift lead motivates, directs, and coaches team members to perform their duties proficiently, following company procedures and completing tasks in a timely manner.
• The Shift lead assists the General Manager in preparing the restaurant to meet customer needs, ensuring each customer receives excellent service and product quality. This role also supports the General Manager in driving sales and controlling costs through effective use of cost-control tools and operational processes. The Shift lead identifies operational challenges during shifts and implements appropriate solutions to maintain smooth restaurant operations.
• Essential job functions, as defined by the General Manager, include fundamental activities performed daily or regularly that directly impact the success of the restaurant.
• This position requires a hands-on management style and physical activity, including lifting, squatting, and standing for extended periods of time.

Job Requirements

To successfully perform the duties outlined in this job description, the Shift lead must demonstrate the following abilities:

• Lift and move items weighing up to 55 pounds safely.
• Reach and handle items from heights up to six feet and as low as six inches from the ground.
• Operate and utilize restaurant equipment safely and correctly, including sheeter machines, vertical cutting mixers (must be 18 years or older), sauce ladles, cheese cups, pan grippers, spatulas, pizza and dough cutters, knives, can openers, pastry brushes, scales, microwaves, telephones, and cash registers.
• Perform Shakerboarding tasks by working outside holding a sign (must be 18 years or older).
• Apply necessary pressure for cutting, preparing products, and cleaning equipment or utensils.
• Accurately count, separate, and weigh all types of food products and inventory items.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members, including reading, speaking, listening, and writing.
• Understand and follow directions, instructions, and product specifications.
• Process and complete customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Comprehend training materials and consistently apply standard operating procedures.
• Successfully complete required training programs and achieve certification.
• Utilize mathematical skills to calculate sales totals, percentages, inventory usage, food orders, employee schedules, cash handling results, and projected business needs.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all state and local traffic laws.
• Supervise multiple team members simultaneously and motivate them to achieve goals, complete duties, and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Shift lead position should meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience in retail or a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, hardworking, and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a standard schedule and perform all essential job functions.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
