CAD Drafter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our innovative design team. In this role, you will transform conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and detailed schematics that support construction, and fabricating projects. Your expertise will help ensure that designs are accurately communicated and executed, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects. Duties

• Develop detailed 2D drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
• Create accurate schematics, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents aligned with project specifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise technical drawings.
• Incorporate revisions based on feedback and ensure all drawings meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in producing visualizations including 2D animations to effectively communicate design intent.
• Support construction teams by providing clear drafting documentation necessary for project execution.
• Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for easy access and version control.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, or SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards.
• Ability to produce detailed schematics and technical drawings for construction and fabrication purposes.
• Familiarity with 2D animation techniques for visual presentations of design concepts.
• Knowledge of construction processes and how to incorporate them into detailed plans.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and clarity in all drawings.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Nice-to-have skills include experience with Revit for building information modeling (BIM), civil engineering drafting using Civil 3D, or mechanical design expertise. Proficiency in creating schematics for electrical or mechanical systems is also advantageous.
