With multiple new locations opening, we are looking for a CDL Hazmat Driver with leadership and operational experience to support our next phase of growth in Oregon.

This role is critical to our customers, our fleet, and our branch operations. If you are disciplined, safety-driven, and ready to lead from the front, we want you on our team.

Position Summary

The CDL Hazmat Driver & Branch Supervisor is responsible for safe and timely deliveries, accurate documentation, warehouse support, and frontline customer service. This position also plays a key role in dispatch, inventory control, fleet safety, and supervising daily driver performance.

This is a hands-on operational role requiring adaptability, leadership, and strict attention to detail.

Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & DOT Compliance

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in full alignment with DOT and company requirements.
  • Safely transport hazardous materials with full compliance to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain a valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Document all driving activity through electronic logs and company tablets.

Loading, Unloading & Warehouse Operations

  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to load fleet trucks and third-party carriers.
  • Pick, stage, and prepare orders for outbound deliveries.
  • Receive inbound freight, verify documentation, and organize warehouse inventory.
  • Package, count, and shrink-wrap cylinders for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe warehouse environment.

Dispatch, Inventory & Customer Service

  • Lead daily dispatch and route efficiency planning.
  • Review PODs, VIRs, and driver logs for accuracy and completion.
  • Conduct random driver observations and safety oversight using Verizon Telematics.
  • Support will-call customers and coordinate timely pickups.
  • Work directly with customers to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.

Staff Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Schedule daily driver and warehouse staff assignments.
  • Support branch operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns immediately to management.
  • Uphold all company SOPs, safety policies, and compliance standards.

Additional Duties

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Perform other operational tasks as assigned to support branch success.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • CDL with Hazmat endorsement (Tanker endorsement preferred).
  • 1+ year of verifiable driving experience or completion of accredited driving school.
  • Clean MVR with no moving violations.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Customer service and management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling compressed gases or chemical materials is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy hoses, fittings, and equipment; climb on/off trucks; stand for extended periods.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow strict instructions and SOPs.
  • Proficiency with tablets, mobile apps, inventory systems, and basic computer tasks.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to industrial and warehouse settings.
  • Indoor and outdoor conditions, including hot or cold temperatures.
  • Potential exposure to diesel exhaust, fuel vapors, and hazardous materials (with full PPE provided).
  • Occasional whole-body vibration from truck operation.
