Video Post-Production Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Post-Production Specialist with experience in AI video generation and fine-tuning, coupled with a strong eye for design and layout. The ideal candidate is proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.) and has a passion for comedy, as well as an iron constitution. If you are someone easily offended, this is not the job for you.  This role will focus on producing and refining high-quality visual content, leveraging AI tools, photobashing, and creative editorial and sound design in a fast-paced, quick-turn environment.

Primary Skills:

• Premiere - Our Editors are dual-focused, we handle both quick-turnaround daily show content in the mornings, where speed and attention to detail are paramount; and we create more elaborate long-form parody content and super videos (Documentary style creatives) with turnarounds typically in the range of a day to a week from shoot date.  Be prepared and capable to handle both styles of content and transition between them smoothly
• AI - Leverage AI video generation tools (e.g., Google Veo, Sora 2, ComfyUI or Similar) to create and fine-tune video assets, integrating AI-generated content into traditional workflows.  We often work with celebrity images and/or risqué concepts, so creativity is key
• Photoshop - Create parody images for the daily show as well as backgrounds/plates for use on green screen shoots, etc.
  Looking not just for someone adept at the program, but someone who uses it as a medium for great work

.  While we do utilize AI for some aspects of image generation, it should be a jumping off point rather than the entirety of your knowledge base
- After Effects - We're looking for experience working with/customizing templates, creating VFX, motion graphics & handling green screen shoot content (Green screen footage makes up a large part of our parody content, knowledge of both advanced key-cleanup and heavy compositing are highly sought after skills)
- Great storytelling and an understanding of comedic timing - We create a combination of comedic and informative content, and in comedy, timing is everything.  Experience in a comedy environment is a plus, but a general understanding of punchy timing, even meme culture is a big help
- Strong grasp of color and format - We produce many different forms of content ranging from sketches, to full-length documentaries, to movie and television parody recreations. It's important to understand how to appropriately color correct and grade scenes to reinforce tone and style. Experience in film emulation is a great bonus as well
- Great Attitude/Team Player - With the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we're happy to mold a candidate who meets the majority of the above skillset, so don't hesitate to apply even if you feel you're not the perfect candidate. We have high expectations, and a self-starter who can work with minimal direction goes a long way in the face of stressful situations.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft/Google Suite - Word, Docs, Drive, Calendar, etc.

Bonus Skills:

• Passion for staying ahead of the curve in AI-driven video production and emerging creative technologies
• Experience Animating (2D or 3D, we have Cinema 4D licenses available)
• DaVinci Resolve experience is a welcome addition
• Live studio production experience (camera op, audio board op, etc…)
• Shooting/producing (including for green screen shoots)
• Storyboarding experience
• General studio knowledge of lighting, cameras, camera lenses, special effects, etc.
• Working with/directing talent during cinematic shoots
• Experience planning scene logistics for large cinematic shoots

Daily Responsibilities

• Daily Show/Post-Production:

• Produce/edit quick-turnaround comedy sketches for daily show (Including AI generated material requests)

• Edit quick-turnaround clip/montage content to specifications for daily show
• Produce/edit various recurring show content for daily show
• Produce/create Photoshop Mash-ups for daily show
• Produce/edit larger-scale show opens/parody content as needed
• Produce/edit promotional content for upcoming specials and affiliate channels
• Produce/edit long-form content (Super Videos) as needed
• Create sound design for sketches/opens as needed
• Build & upload/publish daily show segments and full episode pushes as needed

Additional Responsibilities

• We all get involved around the office, so on occasion you may be asked to assist in any of the following
  :

• Production

• Create Morning Show Overlays as needed
• Participate in occasional set building or office-wide production efforts
• Be available for flexible roles during shoots (on-camera, BTS, tech support)
• Help maintain brand cohesion and workflow consistency across all content types
• Social
• Create CrowderBits Cutdowns as requested, including uploading final products
• Daily Show and CrowderBits Thumbnail creation & upload

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of post-production experience
• This is important.

We are looking for someone with a broadcast rather than film background. Things work quickly in broadcasting, the same can be said here.  TV News experience is ideal

- Must have solid reel (include examples of AI and green screen/compositing work) and references.
