Financial Systems Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Aderant Expert Manager
to lead the daily operations and long-term strategy of our firm's financial systems portfolio, with a primary focus on
Aderant Expert
. This individual will manage a small team responsible for system support, maintenance, enhancements, and data integrity, while driving forward modernization and efficiency across the finance technology stack.

You'll act as the
go-to subject matter expert
for all things Aderant, bridging Finance and IT to ensure our systems enable accuracy, scalability, and performance in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor
  a team of financial systems professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Oversee the
  day-to-day operations
  of Aderant Expert, including configuration, maintenance, system health, and upgrades.
• Ensure
  data integrity, reliability, and security
  across all financial modules (timekeeping, billing, collections, payables, and general ledger).
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to
  streamline workflows
  and introduce automation for billing, reporting, and month-end processes.
• Manage
  vendor relationships
  with Aderant and related solution providers (Intapp, Chrome River, 3E Data Insights, etc.).
• Partner with IT to coordinate
  system integrations, patch testing, and version upgrades
  .
• Develop and maintain
  custom reporting
  and dashboards via Aderant Expert Reporter, SSRS, or SQL queries.
• Drive
  finance transformation projects
  , ensuring alignment with business goals and end-user adoption.
• Stay informed on industry trends, upcoming product releases, and emerging best practices in legal financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience
  working with Aderant Expert in a law-firm or professional-services environment.
• 2+ years of leadership experience
  managing system administrators or financial technology teams.
• Deep understanding of
  Aderant modules
  (Expert Billing, Time, GL, AR/AP, Trust Accounting, Paperless Proforma).
• Strong knowledge of
  financial operations and accounting workflows
  .
• Experience with
  SQL, SSRS, and data extraction/reporting tools
  .
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to translate between technical and finance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with
  Aderant Expert Sierra
  or Aderant Cloud.
• Familiarity with
  Intapp Integrate, Chrome River, Elite, or other financial systems
  .
• Exposure to
  project management or ERP implementation
  initiatives.
