Clinical Lab Tech

Location: UCHealth Leprino Building AMC, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCHA Lab Microbiology

FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Flex

PRN Position

• 10-12 weeks of full-time training between 5:00 AM - 9:30 PM
• Looking for someone interested in transitioning to full-time in the future

Pay: $ $29.64 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary: Performs laboratory testing of patient specimens in the Microbiology Department, Bacteriology section of the laboratory including Microbiology Culture Set-Up and parasitology testing.

Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
• Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
• Performs projects as assigned as well as serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
