About This Role As an MN Learning Experience Designer, you will equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to elevate team performance. As a key member of the L&D team within People & Culture, you will design and deliver comprehensive development programs and enablement resources that empower our teams to succeed. You have a proven ability to create and execute learning programs of all sizes, from interactive workshops to large-scale enablement initiatives. Your projects will span across the employee experience. Both strategic and hands-on, you excel at designing, developing, deploying, and measuring training programs that support employees at all levels. You will collaborate across teams to create innovative learning experiences, applying instructional design principles and adult learning theories. On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include
  • Designs and develops engaging learning solutions, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, blended learning programs, and performance support tools.
  • Applies instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create learner-focused experiences that align with clear learning objectives.
  • Plans, executes, and oversees projects, ensuring timely completion within scope.
  • Provides recommendations on curriculum design, revisions, and ongoing improvements to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Utilizes multimedia tools and technologies to create interactive, visually engaging learning content.
  • Conducts needs assessments to identify learning gaps and recommend targeted solutions.
  • Develops and monitors assessment strategies to measure learning effectiveness.
  • Manages learning projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and impact.
  • Works independently while embracing change, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Ability to design and develop engaging, effective learning experiences.
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, TechSmith Camtasia).
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage projects effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Team player who values collaboration and relationship-building.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze learning challenges and implement solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and manage competing priorities.
What You Bring to MN Custom Homes
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in instructional or learning experience design.
  • Experience designing and developing learning programs.
  • Experience with multimedia development and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 applications.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating instructional design expertise.
  • Facilitation or delivery experience is a plus.
  • Experience with virtual reality, augmented reality, or emerging technologies is a plus.
Working Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Frequent use of a computer, including keyboard functions and close-range visual focus.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to travel to various training locations as needed.
Travel & Vehicle Requirements
  • Occasional travel to training sites may be required.
  • Valid WA State Driver's License, an acceptable driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance may be required, depending on location of training.
