Contract Freelance Web Developer

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract/Freelance Web Developer  for a project-based contract to build/enhance our website. This role requires a highly independent developer with expert proficiency in React  and substantial experience integrating front-end systems with Contentful CMS .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Front-End Development:  Architect and build responsive, high-performance, and scalable user interfaces using modern React best practices.

·       Conentful Integration:  Seamlessly integrate front-end components with content models retrieved from Contentful using their APIs (preferably GraphQL).

·       Technical Implementation:  Accurately translate design mockups (e.g., Figma) into working, pixel-perfect React components and layouts.

·       Code Quality:  Maintain clean, well-documented, and reusable code, utilizing TypeScript (preferred) and writing appropriate unit/integration tests.

·       Collaboration:  Work closely with the (Designer/Project Manager/Marketing Team) to ensure technical execution aligns with project goals and timelines.

·       Maintenance & Troubleshooting:  Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs efficiently.

 QUALIFICATIONS

·       Experience:  5+ years of professional web development experience.

·       Core Languages:  Expert proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

·       React:  Deep experience with (Hooks, functional components, state management).

·       Contentful:  Proven, hands-on experience consuming Contentful content via APIs (must have strong GraphQL  experience).

·       CMS Knowledge:  Understanding of Contentful content modeling, webhooks, and best practices for structured content delivery.

·       Styling:  Proficiency in modern styling solutions (e.g., CSS Modules, Styled Components, or Tailwind CSS).

·       Tools:  Strong command of Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.

·       Communication:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Experience with server-side React frameworks like   or static site generators like  .

·       Experience with TypeScript.

·       Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
