About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to bring technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for process optimization to our Operations and New Product Introduction teams. In this role, you'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, lead projects focused on refining manufacturing methods, and improve the efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our product lines. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality products efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical and financial analysis to pinpoint opportunities for systematic improvements in quality, cost reduction, lead time optimization, and waste reduction.
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing and Theory of Constraints methodologies to optimize processes, workgroups, and manufacturing cells, driving improvements in cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to explore, evaluate, and implement innovative manufacturing concepts, tooling solutions, and advanced equipment.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to support the successful implementation of new manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage project assignments independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and complete work within established timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across functional areas.
  • Solid understanding of Lean principles and Theory of Constraints methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and familiarity with drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in an ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CAM systems such as MasterCam, Esprit, or Partmaker.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience leading Lean or TOC improvement initiatives.
