We host bi-weekly live and online auctions at our headquarters in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania, serving buyers and sellers across the U.S. and internationally. Role Description

The Service Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations within the service department. This includes technician scheduling, repair order processing, workflow coordination, and team development. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who can lead by example, maintain safety standards, and ensure all service work meets McGrew's high standards of quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily service operations, including staffing, job scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Dispatch and coordinate technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and service jobs.
  • Monitor repair order progress, parts ordering, quotes, billing, and customer communication.
  • Ensure all service work is performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities to promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Train, mentor, and support service technicians to enhance performance, skill development, and job satisfaction.
  • Track productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster collaboration between service, parts, and sales teams to maximize asset utilization.
  • Promote McGrew's values of teamwork, quality, and customer focus in every interaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of related experience in service management or equipment repair supervision.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with service software, repair order systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Experience in heavy equipment, agricultural, or construction industry strongly preferred.
  • DOT Medical Card preferred.
  • Knowledge of auction or dealership operations a plus.

Essential Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and may infrequently lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
