Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Roller to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and handling, with a particular emphasis on sushi and Japanese cuisine. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sushi Roller, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi rolls that meet our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and roll sushi using fresh ingredients while adhering to food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate meal preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on new sushi offerings and seasonal ingredients.
• Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management.
• Uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations.
• Provide exceptional service by ensuring that all dishes are served promptly and meet quality expectations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in roles related to food preparation or service.
• Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on knife skills and meal preparation techniques.
• Previous experience in fine dining or catering environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning and creativity in developing new dishes is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
