Revolution Flight is seeking an experienced Flight Operations Manager to support our rapidly growing Aerial Survey 206 Piston Division. The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic and deep technical expertise developed through progressively responsible roles in aviation, geospatial operations, or related fields. While a background in project management is highly preferred, this multifaceted position requires a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of our industry—whether aviation, geospatial, or both—and will leverage that knowledge to strengthen existing client and vendor relationships while actively cultivating new ones. This role is also a key leadership position within Revolution Flight. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent, clear communication.
  • Understand client goals in depth and manage flight operations to support their success.
  • Coordinate closely with Maintenance to schedule planned maintenance with minimal client impact.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for expanded client partnerships.
  • Leverage technical and operational experience to improve existing workflows and implement new processes.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—and maintain strong organizational skills.
  • Approach tasks with structure, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Manage pilot scheduling, hiring, and training in partnership with the Chief Pilot.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to support new revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor project financials, including invoicing and other key metrics.
  • Create various status reports and lead/coordinate meetings covering schedules, risks, budgets, and resources.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to project teams.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of industry-related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year in project management or a comparable leadership role.
  • Experience working with pilots and coordinating aircraft/flight logistics.
  • Proficient with computers and common software applications (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GIS software (ESRI, Global Mapper, QGIS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of aviation and/or geospatial industries, including FARS and the NAS.
  • Understanding of Cessna 206 operations, capabilities, and mission profile.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, reports, and project workflows.
  • Experience in aerial data collection (imagery, lidar, bathymetry, or geophysics) highly preferred; familiarity with airborne sensors a plus.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Clean driving record.

Licenses & Certifications

Preferred (not required):

  • PMP
  • GISP
  • ASPRS Certification

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Sciences, Remote Sensing, Geography, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience and education will be considered.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Clear and effective communication with colleagues and management.

  • Starting salary: $75,000 – $85,000, based on experience
