Housekeeping Laundry Aide

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Laundry Aide to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial services, with a focus on general facility upkeep. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our community while developing valuable skills in facilities maintenance and janitorial services.

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, hallways, and bathrooms through routine cleaning and disinfecting
• Conduct floor care tasks such as buffing, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming to ensure a hygienic environment
• Assist with general janitorial tasks including trash removal, surface cleaning, and restocking supplies
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting issues to maintenance staff
• Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ensure all work areas are kept organized and sanitized according to health standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial services, custodial work, or facilities maintenance preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and industrial cleaning methods
• Experience with commercial or residential cleaning is advantageous
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving supplies or equipment
