We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on delivering comprehensive patient care across diverse settings. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient rehabilitation, and promote optimal recovery outcomes. This role offers an engaging opportunity to apply your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques to improve patients' quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities to facilitate pain relief and mobility improvement.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately within electronic health records.
- Support patients through education on physiotherapy exercises, injury prevention, and discharge planning strategies.
- Provide care across various environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health settings, and acute care hospitals.
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions and optimal recovery pathways.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to effectively support clinical objectives.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in outpatient settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation is essential.
- Knowledge of care planning processes for diverse populations such as geriatrics, and orthopedics is desirable.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and discharge planning procedures.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
